My Second Mother's Day

Being a mother is one of those things where it's difficult but rewarding. It's special and unique. It's an honor and a gift. I agree that moms are amazing, relentless, tough, loving and strong. Now that I am a mother myself, I have new found respect for mothers everywhere. It takes a special woman to be a mother and it's something I find myself learning to be everyday. I am no where near to being a "great" mom. The ever growing pile of dirty laundry, the constant "I can't do this" screams of help will tell you.

This year I celebrate my second Mother's Day. While my family celebrated Me, I am reminded that this day wouldn't be without LittleLim. Words cannot express how thankful and grateful I am for my daughter. She reminds me of the work God has done in my life. She is my future. It is only after having her am I truly able to understand the unconditional love that comes from being a parent and the undying passion of motherhood. She unlocked the last piece of my heart and opened my eyes to what mothers go through for their children. I understand now the silent sacrifice that mothers give up for their children without a bit of complain. I understand the love that is birthed from a mother to her child, a love so pure without any expectations or limitations.

This Mother's Day, I want to thank LittleLim for opening my eyes and heart to the unseen moments of motherhood that I am able to fully and completely understand and appreciate the love that has been given to me by my own mother. I am a better mother and I am able to give back to my daughter the same unconditional, undying and complete love I have received.

Happy Mother's Day to mothers everywhere. You are the unsung heroes, the builders of tomorrow's generation , the listeners, and the advisors. I honor you and the work you do.
